Hi friends! I picked up a few thrift store items that I wanted to share with you. I’ll probably end up doing a YouTube haul video also but for now I’ll do a blog post. Some of these items can be found on Amazon so I included my affiliate link for your convenience.
I’ve started a vehicle collection for Landen (1.5 years old), which we keep in a plastic tote I bought from Dollar Tree. This Fisher Price car was in excellent condition but had no price. As I always do when there’s no price, I make a mental note of how much I would pay for this. That way when I get to the counter I already know what I don’t want to go above. I figured $2 but would maybe go higher. It ended up being $3, which I thought was a fair price.
I been replacing some of the board books that have been chewed, drooled on and bent by Landen and these were .50 each.
The Crayola First Book Of Animals is really adorable! There’s a nice raised effect to the graphics and Landen just loves this book. I usually pull it out during snack time and we go over the animals and the sounds they make.
This book is all about different sizes. The kids love it because it has actual photographs of kids in it.
I also picked up a few bedtime story books. These are slightly longer than we normally read but it seems to hold their interest. The first one is Sesame Street: A Perfect Picnic. It features Bert, Ernie, Elmo and Zoe trying to have a spring picnic despite the obstacles int heir way.
Th other bedtime story I bought was Pooh’s Best Friend. It’s no secret we love Disney and having been to Disney World over 100 times, Pooh is like a family friend. In this story, Pooh wants to understand what makes a best friend and he discovers that he had one all along.
What interesting things have you bought in a thrift store?
